Fascist Military, Natural Disasters & Humanitarian Aid

Image
On March 28 2025, a strong 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck the northeastern part of Mandalay, with its epicenter located in the region. Due to the earthquake, the fascist military junta declared a state of emergency in the six regions (Sagaing, Magway, Mandalay, Bago, Shan, and Nay Pyi Taw). We urge all progressive and democratic forces to stand with the oppressed people of Burma affected by the earthquake. It is important to send aid and support directly to the people affected. Statement on the Fourth Year Anniversary of the Fascist Military’s Coup Statement No. 2/ABFSU/2025 Date: February 1, 2025 To the masses and comrades waging the people's democratic revolution, Today marks the fourth anniversary of the fascist military coup d'état. These years are filled with numerous losses and sacrifices for us all. It is clear that the revolutionary forces, unlike before, are not subjected to one sided attacks and losses. The launch of offensive campaigns against the military council by the ethnic revolutionary organizations in 2024 have resulted in significant victories after victories. The military junta is facing losses on every front. They face defeat on the Northern Shan front. The face defeat on the Rakhine font. They are also losing their Regional Military Commands. There have been open condemnation and attacks from within the Military against their own military coup leader Min Aung Hlaing. The fascist military is clearly becoming more and m...

Support the Ongoing Struggle of Students and Masses Against the Hasina-Awami Fascist Government's Repression, Killings, Forced Disappearance and Mass-Arrest in Continuation of the Quota Reform Movement in Bangladesh

Support the Ongoing Struggle of Students and Masses Against the Hasina-Awami Fascist Government's Repression, Killings, Forced Disappearance and Mass-Arrest in Continuation of the Quota Reform Movement in Bangladesh We know from different media that on June 5, 2024, the Bangladesh High Court issued an order to restore the quota system in government jobs in Bangladesh. The division of the quotas is as follows: children or grandchildren of freedom fighters-30%, women-10%, districts-10%, tribal people- 5%, and disabled people- 1%, totaling 56%. Even in 2018, when students protested to reform the quota system, the Bangladesh government canceled the entire quota and threatened to reinstate it if they continued protesting. But in June 2024, the quota was reinstated by the Court based on an appeal by Freedom Fighter's children. Consequently, protests broke out again. Under the pressure of the student movement, the High Court suspended its decision for one month...

We must never forget that the revolution's momentum today is only achieved by the sacrifices of tens of thousands of martyrs throughout the ages. I would also like to say here that ABFSU pays its utmost respect to all the martyrs who lost their lives in the people's democratic re...

In solidarity with the Bangladesh Students' Union (BSU)

Image
Date - 14 March 2024 All Burma Federation of Student Unions (ABFSU) stands in firm solidarity with BSU comrades and is concerned about this act of unfair yearlong expulsion of student leaders Amartya Roy (President) and Riddha Anindya Ganguly (General Secretary) of BSU, for which they wrote "freedom from rape and tyranny" as graffiti on the wall for the demand for justice in a rape case that happened inside a Jahangirnagar University(JU) campus. Such year-long expulsion of student leaders, as well as the inimical act of unfair resolve in the sexual violence case by the JU administration, implicate the fact of student rights protection, which ABFSU has its main objectives on. ABFSU strongly denounces this repulsive action by the JU administration as well as the behavior that the JU administration exhibited in response to this incident. ABFSU stands and promotes the support of BSU comrades and urges the JU administration to revoke the expulsion of student leaders im...

Statement Condemning the Mandatory Conscription Law

Image
The Mandatory Conscription Law enacted by the State Administration Council [SAC] or the coup council is thrusting the country into an even deeper pit of hellfire. This Mandatory Conscription Law will bring added misery to the more than 50 million people of Myanmar while currently also facing a general crisis. The crisis deepens with soaring food prices and rampant inflation due to the ongoing military offensive against civilians, economic mismanagement, and stagnant wages. This Mandatory Conscription Law will result in distrust that will lead to social collapse and Burma [Myanmar] will become a failed state. The Mandatory Conscription Law proves that the military dictatorship is currently facing a crisis and this is their desperate attempt to hold onto power. We have an opportunity to build genuine unity for the people's liberation movement to grow, despite ...
